Rossetti Necklace
This necklace was inspired by our monthly challenge, I tried to capture those soft glowing colors. I wanted to create a necklace that looks like it would have been worn during that time period with a filigree wrapped pendant, stones, Czech glass and a very generous opera length chain. Supplies: 42mm clover petal brass filigree 26mm polymer clay bead 2 8mm faceted Czech glass rondelle 14 5mm Czech glass drops 2 12mm faceted lepidolite square beads 2 10mm faceted orange aventurine barrel beads 2 6mm fired agate beads 14 7.25mm brass jump rings 2 5mm brass jump rings 1 15mm jump ring 6 2″ brass eye pins 20 1/2″ brass cable chain Directions: 1. Place the polymer clay bead in the center of the filigree and fold the four corners around the bead. 2. Attach the large jump ring through the openings of the filigree. 3. Create looped links with each of the beads, string one on an eyepin and create a loop. Except the drop beads, add 7 drops beads to the eyepins and then make the loop.

An Eye Candy Post
It’s been a while since I’ve done an Eye Candy Post, hasn’t it? It seems that every time I make something and want to photograph it, it rains. So these things have been made for a while, but I finally got most of them on the web site and I thought I’d show some of them, and then share some other cool things I found online. I started a new jewelry line called “Simple Treasures” -.

March Monthly Challenge Blog Tour
Welcome to the Art Bead Scene March Challenge Blog Tour! This month we took to the islands with French post-impressionist painter Gaugin. With spring in the air and color returning to those of us emerging from the mantel of snow, this painting really was a wake-up call to the senses! Makes me long for the day when I can hop on the Bead Cruise with our own Miss Heather Powers. (Hi, Heather! Send us all a pocketful of sand and some sunshine, will ya?) Cory at Create with Moxie (don’t you just love that name?) created a stunning fiber bangle with some faux resin beads. This girl does have some designing moxie! Where can I get some of that? ;-) AnnaJourCrafts used the prettiest of color palettes with pink and green. The swirly handmade polymer clay beads and the asymmetrical design are outstanding. I may not be able to read her words without the aid of Google Translator, but I know that great designs can come in any language.

Polymeri Online 10.9.10
Just a quick polymeri online while i am on a short vacation in beautiful city Eilat on Rosh Hashana holiday, weather is hot and sunny, kids are at the swimming pool and snorkeling, and everything is wonderful :) I was touring in the shops, i saw all kind of wonderful Pandora style beads, usually made of glass, these beads are great and so elegant. Then i saw Dani’s polymer clay beads and loved them, He is from Australia and his stores are sold on “madeit” site and in Etsy too. http://Topearl.au http://Topearl.au/thewhimsicalbead http://Topearl.au/blog and one more… Julie Eakes posted about the new cane slicer by Carol Simmons , all we can is drool more and more, wishing for a machine like that to be a part of our studio, i know everyone will love to have it but the people most need it are the ones working with huge canes. I also saw her presentation in Synergy, and indeed her process for making her pendants and kaleidoscoping is wonderful.
